FAQ’s

How does WorkoutLA work?

We structure the program so you can always give it your best. No more overtraining. No more excuses. The program is broken into 10, four-week camps per year. The usual schedule is four-weeks on, one-week off, with a two-week break every three camps. Every workout starts and finishes the same way, with consistent and effective warm-up and cool-down routines which are critical to your health and continued improvement through the program. While you will quickly be able to do those elements in your sleep, the training portion of each workout will be highly varied. You can expect plenty of calisthenics, this is an outdoor training system after all. Also games and drills inspired by athletic strength and conditioning, pilates, and even yoga will all be incorporated. Each class will last about 60mins. Think of it as recess for grownups. And the results will follow.

What are the Inner Circle and Inner Circle (+1,+2)?

The Inner Circle is our annual membership, and the Inner Circle +1 allows you to add a guest to your annual membership. Both memberships are initiated through the standard Registration process, and if you’re joining the Inner Circle +1, your guest will receive a coupon code to use when completing their registration. The Inner Circle is currently $65/camp, the Inner Circle +1 is $89/camp, and the Inner Circle +2 $133.50/camp. The membership auto-pay runs on the Monday prior to the start of each camp.

What if I can’t perform a certain exercise?

If your coach sees you performing an exercise incorrectly, they will correct your form, and they’ll have alternatives for you if they see that an exercise is beyond your current current level of conditioning. Of course, communication is key so don’t hesitate to speak up if any exercise is causing discomfort. We want you to challenge yourself. We appreciate the effort to improve your health, but forget the “No Pain No Gain” mentality. If it hurts, stop and let us help you.

Can I join anytime?

Yes. If you can’t wait to get started, don’t hesitate, we can help you get caught up. But since the workouts progress in complexity and intensity over the course of each 4-week camp, we recommend waiting for the start of the next camp.

Can I come out for a day to try it out?

Yes, just give us a call. You’ll still need to complete the WorkoutLA registration and sign the waiver, but we’ll set you up with a free workout.

What’s the price for a single workout?

$17

What do we do if it rains?

For your safety, we don’t workout in the rain. If it’s raining at the Park 30 minutes prior to the start of your workout, you’ll receive an email from your coach cancelling the workout. If we cancel a workout on account of rain, you’ll receive a coupon for a free day on your next camp.

Will the exercises performed at WorkoutLA make me sore?

Maybe. But it’s completely normal to feel some soreness for the first few days of camp. You will be using muscles in ways you probably haven’t in some time, maybe ever. We’ll make sure to warm you up properly, cool down, and stretch. That alleviates much of the soreness, but still, some soreness is normal.
